2023-24 Recipient

Cdr Pat Hakanson, SN and Lt/C Brevard Myers, SN-ACN present the Challenger Memorial award to JJ Rodgers (on right), JJ had had 420 total credits for 2023, ranking 30th nationally (and was on the Honor Roll) and 1st in Charlotte. Our biggest single event this year was during the Coastal Rendezvous at Little River, SC in September. JJ participated in all three arms of Co-Operative Charting -- Nautical, Geodetic, and Marina Surveys -- as well as reviewing reports submitted by others and serving on the national committee. Congratulations JJ!

Challenger Memorial Award

This award originated in 1986 by P/C Ross H. Francis, JN (1982-83). It is presented to the squadron member with the highest standing in Co-Operative Charting for the year. The Co-Op Charting program has three different components now, with geodetic, nautical and marina surveys.
